Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a non profit partner in the St Paul area needing to add to their Accounting Team!

Key Responsibilities
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation and filing systems.
- Assist with cash posting, invoicing, and vendor/customer communication.
- Support payroll processing by gathering and validating time and labor data (if applicable).
- Ensure accounting procedures comply with internal controls and company policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and accuracy.
- Support cross-functional teams with financial insights or required documentation.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger reconciliations.
- Help compile financial statements and internal management reports.
- Participate in audits by preparing supporting schedules and documentation.
- Assist in reviewing expenses, variances, and budget adherence.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (internships included).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP familiarity is a plus).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, SAP, etc.).
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
